                                                 Psalm 19 (Contemporary English Version)

                                                     (A psalm by David for the music leader)

                                                 The Wonders of God and the Goodness of His Law

1 The heavens keep telling  the woders of God,

   諸天述說   神的榮耀;

      and the skies decl are what he has done.

       穹蒼傳揚祂的手段.

2 Each day informs the following day;

   這日到那日發出言語;

       each night announces to the next.

       這日到那日發出知識.

3 They don't speak a word,

       and there is never the sound of a voice.

4 Yet their message reaches all the earth,

      and it travels around the world.

      in the  heavens a tent is set up for the sun.

5 It rises like a bridegroom ,

      and gets ready like a hero eager to run a race.

6 It travels all the way,

       across the sky;

       繞到天那邊;

      Nothing hides from its heat.

      沒有一物被隱藏不得祂的熱氣.

7 The Law of the LORD is perfect,

    耶和華的律法全備,

       it gives us new life;

       能甦醒人心;

    His teachings last forever,

    耶和華的法度確定,

      and they give wisdom to ordinary people.

       能使愚人有智慧.

8 The LORD's instruction is right,

    耶和華的訓詞正直,

       it makes our hearts glad;

       能快活人的心;

    His commands shine brightly,

    耶和華的命令清潔,

       and they give us light.

       能明亮人的眼目.

9  Worshiping the LORD is sacred,

     耶和華的道理潔淨,

        he will always be worshiped;

        存到永遠;

      All of his decisions,

      耶和華的典章真實,

         are correct and fair.

         全然公義.

10 They are worth more,

      都比金子可羨慕,

         than the finest gold;

         且比極多的精金可羨慕;

      and are sweeter than honey,

     比蜜甘甜,

        from a honeycomb.

        且比蜂房下滴的蜜甘甜.

11 By your teachings, Lord, I am warned,

        by obeying them, I am greatly rewarded.

12 None of us know our faults?

         Forgive me when I sin without knowing it.

13 Don't let me do wrong on purpose, Lord,

     求你攔阻僕人不犯任意妄為的罪,

        or let sin have control over my life;

        不容這罪轄制我;

    Then I will be innocent,

    我便完全,

       and not guilty of some terrible fault.

       免犯大罪.

14 Let my words and my thoughts be pleasing to you ,

       LORD, because you are my mighty rock and my protector.
